This sign was hung in the window of a house in Bedminster by the family of Albert Henry Room. It told the neighbours that Albert had enlisted, and added to the pressure on others to join up. Albert was 18 when he joined Bristol’s Own. He served in Italy and survived the war. TD5401 Bristol Museums Learning Collection
