These fragments of a zeppelin air ship which crashed in Essex were sent to Bristol by H. Wiltshire as a souvenir. Parts of another destroyed zeppelin were sold at public auction at the Corn Exchange in 1916, to raise money for the Red Cross and Bristol’s war hospitals. W743.1 donor unknown
