Victor Brace was a stretcher bearer in the 12th Battalion, the Gloucestershire Regiment. Stretcher bearers worked in No Man’s Land bringing in the wounded. Each man carried a bag of equipment, including scissors, morphine pills and dressings. Loaned by Keith Nickless
