When the Pharaoh Sety I had his tomb built, about 3,000 years ago, it was the longest, deepest and most highly decorated tomb in the Valley of the Kings. Locals robbed the tomb soon after burial and priests moved the body to another tomb for safekeeping. It was rediscovered in 1881 and now his unwrapped body is on display in the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities in Cairo.
