From the Kalabari people, Nigeria (early 2000s).

This tunic is made of a highly prized velvet fabric. Fabrics play a central role in the period following the death of a Kalabari man or woman. Many styles and types of fabrics decorate entire rooms in the deceased's house and are laid out on the bed for mourners to view. Different ranks of mourners must wear the correct types of fabrics during rituals that take place before burial.
