Found in Mangotsfield, South Gloucestershire (Romano-British, about AD300).

Inhumation, or burial of the body rather than cremation, was not widely practiced in Roman Britain until about 1,800 years ago. Unusually this coffin contained the skeletal remains of two people, a man and a woman.
