Issued in Bristol (1726 - 1733).

The extravagant funeral expenses of Elizabeth Lawford included mourning jewellery, hearse furnishings, and 'painting the ground colour of the hatchment' – this was a large painting of her family coat of arms which hung over the door of the house for a year after her death. She was the widow of John Lawford, and so linked by marriage to one of the richer families of Bristol.
