St. Werburgh's Church, Bristol (mid 1800s).

This brass rubbing is from a church memorial that commemorated Nicholas Thorne and his first and second wives, Mary and Bridget. He was a Bristol benefactor and mayor who died in 1546. The church where the original brass memorial plaque was displayed was destroyed in the 1870s.
