Bristol (2013) When 'Dave the Crane', a long-term Industrial Museum and M Shed volunteer died, the cranes were dipped as a memorial gesture. This was inspired by a tribute to Winston Churchill in 1965, when the cranes along the London docks 'dipped their jibs' as his body was taken down the River Thames by barge for burial in Kent.
