Patrick Cotter O'Brien knew his gigantic body was of interest and was concerned that it would be investigated after he died. He asked that his body be buried so as to defeat grave robbers. It was, but his body was exhumed 100 years later, when the chapel was rebuilt. He was reburied but not before these small pieces of coffin lead were removed.
