Mike and Matthew's Wedding
Same sex marriage became legal in England and Wales on 29 March 2014. That day, Mike McBeth and Matthew Symonds were the first gay couple to legally get married in Bristol. After the ceremony at Bristol Register Office, a 'Just Married' rainbow banner provided the background for their wedding photos. It was made by the couple's friends.
