This Hong Kong house was lived in by a couple called George and Edith just before WW1. We have photographs of them and their home but no other information about them has survived.

Interiors like this were photographed to be sent back to relatives. The living room is furnished with the same piano, pictures and ornaments that the family would have had in Britain.
