Pride is a celebration for all LGBT+ people, their friends, families and allies to stand up and declare they are proud of who they are and their loved ones.

The first Pride event in Bristol was held in 1977 as a fundraiser. It evolved into Avon Pride and took place every year until about 1994. After a break, Bristol Pride was resurrected in 2010. The festival is now a fortnight of events, culminating in a march and Bristol Pride Day.

Bristol Pride work all year round to challenge homophobia and promote equality and diversity, for all, through various events, school visits, consultation services and lobbying.
