Workers at the Greenbank factory were so skilled at packing the mint crisps that they could run the foiled chocolates up their palm and wrist and flick them into trays.

It was estimated that for every five tons of caramel-filled chocolate, a ton would be eaten on site. Robert Savage recalls, 'you could follow the trail of wrappers around the factory.'
