This image of Thomas Chatterton appears in the painting, 'Some Who Have Made Bristol Famous' by Ernest Board in 1930. The full painting shows a symbolic gathering of men and women, whose lives span nearly 800 years, standing in front of Temple Gate. The selection of people concentrates on early explorers, philanthropists and 'worthy' Victorians.
