Darryl and Mark, who lived in Bristol, were one of the first gay couples to have a civil partnership in 2005, after the Civil Partnership Act of 2004 made same-sex civil unions legal in the UK. Although they are no longer together they were 'very proud to have played a part in a bit of Bristol history'.
