'Henbury' was built in 1937 by Thomas Peckett & Sons in Speedwell, Bristol.

This engine was part of a large fleet of steam locomotives working at the docks at Avonmouth. The port's locomotive crews kept her in good working order until diesel engines took over in the early 1960s.

Henbury is now retired from duty, but has been restored and now gives visitors the chance to ride on Britain's only dockside steam railway. You can see Henbury in the Engine Shed via a viewing window in the West Foyer of M Shed, (near the café) when not in use.
