Coal mining in Bristol
Coal-mining drills
These drill rods, were used at Frog Lane Colliery, Coalpit Heath, for boring holes into a coal seam, to take explosive charges for loosening the coal. Coal was mined at Frog Lane Colliery for 102 years until its closure in 1949.
