Children did not usually wear clothes. Even royal children are shown at ceremonies wearing nothing but jewellery. Children usually had their head shaved except for a thick lock of hair on one side. Horus, the son of the gods Isis and Osiris, wears the same hairstyle. When children did wear clothes, they would be dressed in a small version of what their parents wore, probably a simple tunic or kilt.
