Ramses III in a three year period gave 1,975,800 bouquets, 15,500 scented bouqets and 3,410 lotus bouquets to the temple of Amun, amongst many other offerings. The pharaoh was also responsible for the security of the state, the army and taxation. As with religion, he delegated responsibility to others such as the high priests, the vizier, the commander in chief of the army and the chancellor.
