Woodworker's output
Carpenters and woodcarvers made items for household and religious use. They probably specialised, so a carver who made statues for temples or tombs would not make decorative furniture.
The ancient Egyptians used boxes for storage of clothes and household linen, and also for offerings to the gods and the dead. The box here may have been made for holding mummified hawks for a temple offering.
