The dead hoped to have time to enjoy themselves. Some took games or hunting tools with them, such as the senet board game, the throwing stick and the bow. For others, a carved or painted scene of hunting, playing or feasting with friends on the tomb wall meant that they would be able to do these activities in the Afterlife.
