: Special Constabulary Medal made of bronze (?) attached to a red, white and black striped ribbon with metal fastener at the top to attach to clothing. With inscription on the front, reverse and edge of the medal. On the reverse is a portrait of King George V. These medals were introduced after the First World War to recognise the services of Police Special Constables, who served without pay for at least three years during the war.
