Description: Digital recording containing interview with Dr Linda Thomas recorded in 2019. Dr Thomas left the medical profession to become an eco-fashion designer. Actively involved with the Extinction Rebellion (XR) movement, Dr Thomas has made fashion items out of waste products, particularly ocean waste, to raise awareness of and draw attention to the excesses of the fast-fashion industry and the terrestrial and maritime waste (in particular, oil-based plastics) that contribute to the destruction of ecosystems, ocean acidification and global heating.
