The book was previously used as an exercise book and contains examples of 'compound subtraction, multiplication and division'. Several pages are dated '1848 Brislington'

Tall narrow octagonal body tapered out to rounded shoulder then curving in to short octagonal neck. Painted in coloured enamels - blue, yellow, purple, brown: all-over design of blue foliate scrolls (a version of 'Blue Scroll) between bands at top and bottom: blue, purple, blue, yellow, blue from bottom, brown, blue, yellow, blue from rim. (Blisters on shoulder, glaze pitted.)
