First World War medals to Private H.E. Clark, the Gloucestershire Regiment
The 1914-15 Star, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal were awarded to over 2 million servicemen and women. They were nicknamed Pip, Squeak and Wilfrid after a popular cartoon strip published in the Daily Mail newspaper from 1919.
