In the 1960s, children everywhere cowered behind the sofa from Dr Who's chief enemy- the Daleks. They still played with toy versions of them though. Daleks remain popular as cult toys today.

'Dr Who' made its debut on British television in late 1963. Some of the later episodes were filmed in Bristol. The locations included St Nicholas Market, Corn Street, Portland Square, Kings Weston House, and Royal Fort House.
