Using this tinplate map of the Atlantic Ocean, the Bristol City Line office could track the position of all its ships between Bristol and North America with small magnetic ships.
The map was made by Battle & Partners Ltd in 1931, showing the routes to Halifax and Labrador in Canada and to New York in the USA. In one corner is the City Line blue star flag, and in the centre the Arms of Bristol. On the Americas side is a scroll detailing the internationally agreed Atlantic Lane routes.
