German 'Glocke und Hammer' dice and card game. Wooden box with slide lid and yellow inside. Five large cards with blue backs. One small black backed card with 'N' on. Wooden hammer. Wooden bell with no inside hammer. Bone/ivory spinning top/teetotum numbered 1-12. Eight slate/marble dice. Symbols on dice written in pencil and a mixture of numbers, blanks and mystery symbols that probably refer to the pieces (i.e. one is a hammer shape, one is a 'N').

Lid shows 'The dog of St Bernard' caring a child through the snow, to the monks of St Bernard. Embossed/ letterpress descriptive sheet covering each animal depicted. Lid picture depicts man with mutton chops with a box of gifts, surrounded by children in hats and bonnets. Twelve picture cards with plain backs, depicting different trades: butcher baker, barber, bookseller, apothecary, hardware dealer, fisherman, musical instruments maker, tin plate worker, farmer, tailora and contains anearly depiction of 'black' person, as a barber. Seventy-two small cards listing items that relate to one of the trades in the picture cards. Instruction sheet and duplicate instructions sheet.

Wooden music box with protruding windable handle. Picture on cover of box is of traditionally dressed Victorian girls and a young boy. Plays two tunes whose names are very faintly written on the base; 'Lily of Laguna' and possibly 'Our slaves'. On the base is also the printed words 'Musique A 2 Airs' and the written number 1324.

Wooden jigsaw shows scenes depicting the letters N-Z . Box contains key/reference pictures on pieces of paper. Originally the pictures would have formed six larger pictures, possibly from a book, but all bar one have now been ripped in half.

Forty-eight Old Maid cards depicting contemporary images of a baby, nurse, jester, judge, prince, princess, king and queen of six different 'races': Brit[s], Neg[roes], In[dians], Choc[taws], Turk[s] and Jap[anese]. There is also an Old Maid card. The 'Brit princess' card is missing, forty-eight cards in total.
