Mounted on a wooden plinth which has a paper label. "HAND MADE IN ISRAEL" In front of the doll is a wooden table covered with a lace edged cloth and two small candles.

Swahili textile from ?Tanzania/Tanganyika, a Kanga or Kanika. Cotton, two lengths uncut with a green strip between them with white dots showing the cutting lines. Rectangular shaped and printed in black and green on a white ground with two identical 1655mm panels, side by side. In the centre of the panels is a black and green Africa shaped motif with a mountain and a hand holding a flaming torch. Underneath is the wording 'TANZANIA REPUBLIC DAY 1966'. The background has a black, green and white design. The border is striped with paisley shaped motifs. On the green selvedge are the words - "CHINA KHANGA-SOLE IMPORTERS COSATA-INTRATA"

Kachin textile (a,b) a) Rectangular woven cloth - natural coloured ground with terracotta and black floating weft, geometric design in stripes along the length of the fabric. 6 panels in alternating patterns. Terracotta dye shows signs of bleeding. Could be a waist band, belt or table runner. b) Strip of hand woven cloth probably made on a back strap loom. Natural cotton ground with panels of floating weft design in black and burgundy - divided into 14 patterns in alternating colours, 8 columns with an alternating design of diamonds and geometric blocks. Burgundy has bled with washing. Cut ends with a short fringing.

Warp stripes in natural and two shades of indigo. Woven by man on a heddle loom. Large patch repair in one area and repairs elsewhere. 1730mm x 488mm

Burmese skirt - rare Kachin women's skirt {? Burma 1940}. Very fine weaving in a diamond pattern. Hand woven in red wool with coloured wool geometric patterns. The fabric is a flat rectangle consisting of three strips of fabric 240 mm wide which is joined lengthways by hand. Woven with a black warp. Top panel in black with coloured weaving at each end. The skirt is held up with bamboo rings 2000/037/051.

Khaki fore and aft hat in wool with a ribbed weave The gusset at the top is bound with back cord. Along each side is a wing shaped panel which is secured on both sides with a metal hook and metal eyelets. These wings are held at the front by two brass buttons with Prince of Wales feathers. ICHDIEN. Khaki drill wool with dark blue braid on top. White wool sweat band. Paper label inside ‘ Hobson & Sons (London) Ltd 7 5/8’. Burn hole at the back. Some moth damage.

Cap from WWII Royal Canadian Air Force Sergeant's uniform, dated to 1943. Air force blue serge field service cap made of two pieces of material with seam front to back. There is a metal eyelet on either side of the head. Folded gusset across the top. Side pieces are buttoned with two brass buttons at front. Crowned winged bird with RCAF. Large brass cap badge for the RAF. Lined in black cotton with a blue cotton sweatband. Stamped national hat ‘MFG Co 1942 7 5/8’.

Fore and aft hat - worn by a member of the Ceylon Civil Service as a volunteer in The Ceylon Planters Rifles Corps. Felted stroud cloth. Black cotton lining and white cool sweatband. Two black buttons at the front of a crowned bugle. Cap badge - three leaves above a ribbon which says ‘Unitas salus nostra’ ‘Ceylon Planters Rifle Core.’ Written on the sweat band is the name ‘Baron’. Quite moth eaten.

Pair of Nigerian toe thong sandals with leather soles.The inner sole is red bordered with black leather.The edges are decorated with rows of stitching in blue and green. The inner heel has a geometric pattern in beige and green. There are two brown leather strips stitched between the two parts of the sole at the instep, these envelope a folded piece of leather which is fixed between the two pieces of the sole.There are odd short leather laces spaced regularly along the sandal. In fair condition, sandal b has only one odd lace remaining. Sole is hide with fur still attached in places. Rest is tanned leather.
